Heritage High's Recognition

Heritage High School's, Brian Dodson, has done a tremendous job in growing the Drafting program by improving enrollment numbers, updating equipment to meet the needs of industry standards and, by taking students to compete in the state wide competitions, of which he has had 3 Gold medalists.  One of Mr. Dodson’s top students is Mr. Lawson Bennett.  Lawson has completed the Architectural drafting pathway at HHS and recently competed in the state Skills USA competition in Atlanta, where he placed 1st in Architectural drafting and received the gold metal! Lawson is also completing pathways in Public Safety and Information Technology.

Lakeview High's Recognitions

Lakeview High School was proud to recognize the following students:

  • Alonzo Soto- Received 1st place in the state Deca competition for Virtual Business Retail. He has qualified nationally as well for virtual retail and has finished in the top 3 nationally the last two years.
  • Cason Robinson, Xavier Palomino, and Alex Lyons- Received 1st place in the state DECA competition for Stock Market Game. They also have qualified for nationals.
  • Coach Watkin- His DECA organization received the gold standard award for School Based Enterprise. This is awarded because of the retail operations that his program runs at LFO. This is a nationally recognized award.
  • Colonel Paul Harwart- Awarded local and regional teacher of the year by the VFW for 2025-26.

Ringgold High's Recognition

Ringgold High School was honored to recognize 10th grader, Lily Garrett. A few weeks ago, Lily competed in the SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference, where she earned the Gold Medal in Advertising Design! By securing first place in the state, Lilly has qualified to represent Georgia at the National Leadership & Skills Conference this June. RHS is incredibly proud of her creativity and her drive.

JROTC Tiger Battalion – Honor Unit with Distinction

Ringgold High School also recognized the JROTC Tiger Battalion. Last month, they underwent a rigorous formal inspection from Brigade Headquarters to ensure they met the Army’s accreditation standards.

We are proud to share that they secured the prestigious Honor Unit with Distinction designation. This is the highest honor a JROTC program can achieve, and it serves as a testament to the character of our cadets. It is a proud moment for our entire school community to see their hard work recognized at such a high level.

2026 3rd Lighthouse Cohort

The Board of Education is proud to recognize the 3rd Lighthouse Cohort! Each year members of the community volunteer their time to meet several evenings throughout the year to learn more about Catoosa County Public Schools. Cohort members were said they were pleased to be invited to join the community and see all the hard work, dedication, and teamwork involved in running the school district.
