Jayme Dills Selected As New Principal of Tiger Creek

Superintendent Nix was pleased to present Jayme Dills as the new Principal of Tiger Creek Elementary. Ms. Dills has 23 years of experience with Catoosa County Public Schools and has been the Assistant Principal of Tiger Creek for the last two years. Welcome Principal Dills! 



CCPS Finance Department

Director Austin Carter recognized the Finance Department for successfully completing the fiscal year 2025 financial audit. These audits take months to prepare for and complete. We are proud to celebrate that CCPS has been rated as LOW RISK with NO FINDINGS! 



CCPS ESOL Teacher of the Year Jennifer Ross

Lori Welborn, Principal of Cloud Springs Elementary, introduced Mrs. Jenn Ross, who divides her time between TCE, GES, and CSE, and recently won the ESOL Teacher of the Year for CCPS. She has a core belief in making a difference every day. She goes above and beyond to support her students academically and emotionally. She builds strong, trusting relationships with children and creates an environment where every student feels valued and capable of success. She speaks fluent Spanish and is an asset to parents by creating relationships that help families feel truly cared for. 



RHS State Literary Champions

Congratulations to Emery Ellis and Miley Stuart for their recent GHSA AA State Championships at the state championship Literary Meet in Milledgeville!
Miley received a state championship in domestic extemporaneous speaking. This looks to be Ringgold's first state championship in this area. Emery received a state championship in girls solo and dramatic acting. This makes three for Emery this year as she was awarded the AA state championship medal for best actress at the One Act Play State Championship in Warner Robins this fall.



JROTC State Champions

Ringgold High School was pleased to present three outstanding achievements of the RHS JROTC Drill team at this year's State Drill Competition. Noel Parell earned the title of State Champion in Female Exhibition, and both Noel Parell and Ethan Stone, won State Championships in Dual Exhibition. In addition, the Ringgold High Squad Exhibition team — Ethan Stone, Noel Parell, Makaila Farris, Axy Evans, Alex Beason, Eli Hughes, Lucy Gregorich, Maddie O'Shields, and Emi Grant — captured the State Championship title. These accomplishments reflect not only the cadets’ discipline, teamwork, and commitment to excellence, but also the leadership of their instructor, Larry Sisemore.

 

Heritage High's State Literary Champion

Heritage High's Cici Ward won Girls Solo at the State Competition in March. She was ranked first by both judges and got a 99 and 100 (out of 100) in her scoring.
Big shout out to Jennifer Hamilton who coaches all our vocal entries. One judge even commented about the quality of instruction that Ceci must be getting! This is the second straight year Heritage has finished GHSA Literary with a state championship in a vocal entry



Heritage High Wins 1st Place at the State Technology Fair

Heritage High's Ruah Moon and Elizabeth Afonshina one 1st place at the State Technology Fair with their Graphics Art project, Chronically Online. 



Heritage High Wrestling State Champion

Wyatt Womack was presented for winning the 3A State Champion in Wrestling.

 

Heritage High's Girls Basketball Team are State Champions

Principal Matt Phillips and Head Coach Greg Elkins were proud to present the Heritage High's Girls Basketball team to the board. Congratulations to the Heritage High School Lady Generals on their overtime AAA championship GHSA 65-63 win against Sandy Creek. It was not only the first state high school basketball championship for the Lady Generals, it was the first state high school basketball championship for any team in Catoosa County, male or female.
